If you do drugs, just got out of jail or been pimping young innocent girls maybe even head of a notorius mafia group chances are you probably play poker.... No i am just kidding. But it might be true. You never know what happen in those empty shoplot or down in the basement.

Where Are The Results And How The Survey Done?

The Hidden 5,000 Buddha Palm Poker Manual

Ya man, not that it really exist. But what is true is that this blog is closing in 6 months of age. It ages as the journey continues. In hope of obtaining the holy grail a lot of dedication been put in. Changes been made here and there.

Finally, the google search box been replaced with a better one from Lijit. It is free for all. It is very easy to use, install and customize to the theme of this blog. You can change the size to your liking. Besides able to do search for relevant keywords from the blog it also extends to web searches also.

From what i can see, it seems to be using google engine only not google. But there's actually more benefits, you'll have to search it up Lijit site to find out don't you.

Poker wise, have not been playing as much for the week as it seems my mind just shut down and wandered off elsewhere. Played at Pokerstars APPT freeroll. Often times, i would register for the game and later be sitting out as i fell asleep. Oh well, hope to recharge and get back in form.

Aggressivo : Can You Explain Them?

So, you play aggressive poker huh?. The general perception that aggressiveness equates masculinity stands tall. If you are small in size, you are weak. If you are big, you are strong.

Yin and Yang, everyone? So why do they play that way? Is it possible to understand them? Or they are just weird creature roaming around naked with their long tentacles, i mean leg.

It is a meaty subject.

With this, i leave you with a quote from someone special. It will be a mystery until i reveal it next week. Actually it refers to some other matter. With some imagination, you can get the picture.

"They are very clever, brave and have an insatiable curiosity... unfortunately the are also very greedy and like to take forcibly territories and rights of other people."

Bankroll Management : A Failed Experiment

Was trying out this experiment that i had in mind to see how it goes. Well, it is just one of the many places that i have been playing. So i was saying to myself, let's put it all into an experiment. Afterall, it was not the site where i was trying to concentrate on. Just for a little variety, you know.

The experiment took about a week long but in actual only a few days when i played it during my off-days. The idea was to take the small sum i have from their tournament and play in the lowest possible limit games. And once in a while i played it at the turbo sngs.

It went alright. What i couldn't make it in the sngs, i would recover back from the limit games. All in all, it would just get back even. The day came when there's really opportunity to play more and longer.

You see the occasional ups and downs. The longer the games, the longer i really want to get it over with. The thing is, after playing a few hours i was already playing in default mode. My mind was not there anymore and i continue to click, click, click. Eventually it became zero, null, nein!

Wonderful! It is time to get back to work again, playing poker. But before that, let's do some workout to ease the mind.

Save Global Warming, Save The World

How is this post related to poker? I dunno. Was hoping maybe you can tell me?

The Much Anticipated Malaysia Poker Tournament In Casino De Genting

I have got my Genting WorldCard. It has finally arrived. Last week actually. I was ecstatic as i took it directly from my postman's hands after 2-3 weeks wait. I would not have bothered to apply it if not for the much anticipated Malaysia's first freeroll poker tournament.

I have previously posted about the poker tournament in my previous post Malaysia casino redux. I was also asking on the type of Genting WorldCard needed to qualify as there are different statuses to each WorldCard. However as new information surfaced, i am not that happy anymore.

One of the pokermalaysia forum members personally uncovers the details to the Malaysia poker tournament:

----------
Genting Poker Challenge
Date: 7 - 9 December 2007
Time: 8.00pm onwards
Venue: Casino De Genting
Prize money: RM 50,000
Entry fee: 1 (one) Genting Point
Members Card Type: Green and Silver

Genting Premier Poker Tournament
Date: 14 - 16 December 2007
Time: 8.00pm onwards
Venue: Casino De Genting
Prize money: RM 150,000
Entry fee: 5 (five) Genting Points
Members Card Type: Silver and above

Caution:
*Places are limited to 300 pax per tournament.
*Two tournaments are open to Genting WorldCard Members only and they
need to have Genting points in order to participate.
*Thematic card (eg Awana,
Coffee Bean, Theme Park etc) is NOT an acceptable entry card type.

More info :
The dealers will be professionally trained by Mr Savage's team. On tournament, there will be no front (check in) money as Genting will be providing free bankroll (initial capital) for members to participate. The mode of play is Texas Hold 'Em and there will be three rounds of play: Preliminary, Semi-final and Final. The process of elimination will apply until the final 10 players.
----------

As you can see, you need to collect points to be able to play in the tournament. But is the card i received belongs to 'thematic card'? I can use it to change to green status? Another news is that those tournaments are upon invitation only? Seriously, i have lost faith and interests. Are you trying to be funny, Genting?

Google Practices Double Standards On Poker Ads

My mistake, their Adsense i mean. Well, it is not for everyone. I quote partially from their program policies that, "Sites displaying Google ads may not include:

  • Violent content, racial intolerance, or advocacy against any individual, group, or organization

  • Pornography, adult, or mature content

  • Hacking/cracking content

  • Illicit drugs and drug paraphernalia

  • Excessive profanity

  • Gambling or casino-related content

  • .....Another 10 points more not included here"

However, if you frequent other poker blog besides this, you will notice some able to display google ads such as billrini.com. His blog probably rake in traffic by the thousands or maybe x10 per month.

I have asked google support, why. They replied and answered that they cannot disclose whatever relationship they may have. Fine. I'll just not use your product then in my future blogging endeavours.

Feeling The Pinch From Playing Too Long Online

So what they say is true, the common ailments from working in front of computers for too long. I have been getting shoulder and neck aches and lately burning sensation on the eyeballs. Trying to be a better poker player and better blogger seem a little too much a feat to do.

Finally bought this Ammeltz YokoYoko~for stiff shoulder and muscular aches after seeing a colleague using one. At least it saves me a few trips in advance from the massage parlor, for the moment.

A trip of live games doesn't help relieve the ache either. Damnit. There is no shame in playing low levels. Playing levels above your own is not good. Ambitious for me perhaps. Because it is just reality. Crap.

A Business Point Of View On Playing Poker: An Orthodox Methodology

came to me one day that you can see poker as a business entity or something similar to doing trading stocks/shares online. It all has its own share of risks and rewards. With bigger stakes, comes greater responsibilities to the investments you made. Most people will see this is where the excitements comes in.

Well i have been experimenting with ring games which is where the enlightenment comes. I consider that at this stage i am a micro level player. If you know me well, i played more tournaments than i can count those ring games.

Main Thoughts
Inevitably, you will lose money playing poker. Yes, if you play poker you will lose money. If you have looked at a graph plotting your progress, you will realise the common ups and downs. Even looking at other player's graph, you will see again the up and down spikes.

When starting to play poker, it's all good and all about chasing the money. To be one of those to reach that destination. To be in the selectable group where poker gods and goddess belongs. You see smiling faces beaming with a lot of money. That is what keeps you going. In reality there will be losses and keeping those losses minimum is what counts.

There is certainly no point that while you get the money you wanted and at the same time you can't stop the leak. I believe everyone who runs a company or business would rather pay more attention on that.

Summary
While looking to make a profit, keeping check of those costs and losses are what you should be looking at instead if you are just starting out on your poker journey. In the end of the day, it is those losses where you are going to be out of business.
